Flyweight

Flyweight is a studio in South Africa that develops software, AI products, and the technology around them. A lot of that work ships from the studio. Every now and then a product needs to become its own company, which is why Flyweight is also a holding company. If you're wondering about the name, here's the simple version. Flyweight is the lightest class in boxing. In software, the flyweight pattern is how you share one structure across many objects so you aren't dragging extra copies around. That's the point of the studio as well. If something doesn't need to be heavy, it shouldn't be.

  We're talking about the products people actually use, plus the systems sitting underneath that they never really see. We try to keep both of those small, because that's how you stop a codebase from turning into a mess.
